Last few days, a secondary schoolmate of mine, who once debated with me over my stubborn supports for my choice back in 308 election, sent me a private message over Facebook. He is amazed that I am still actively advocating for the same party, and sympathies me for being bombarded by friends and foes from other camp.
He reckoned that awareness education takes time, and people generally are not rational and lack critical independent thinking, easily swayed by sentiments and emotions. He commended my untiring continuous effort to create awareness on Facebook. Finally, he confessed to me that he already gave up over his choice of support now after seeing what he saw. And his conclusion was, to plan for migration to overseas within 10 years time.
He said he already gave up trying to make Malaysia better, as he no longer believe that it is something that he can change, not even with a change in federal government.
At first, one side of the apple looks nice and delicious, but after peeling off the skin, he realized it's the same "apple". The heart of the "apple" is rotten, and there's no way to salvage it other than discarding it.
Malaysia just loss a talented bright young professional who would otherwise contribute to make Malaysia a better nation.
Are you sharing the same view like my dear friend?
Are you still with Malaysia?
Malaysia needs you, Malaysia needs us, Malaysia needs Malaysians.
